Haven't you thought about designing a Mars cap yet?
Heh…of course. Already working on it. It will be based on the original MARS coin. I tried to solicit a few ultra close ups of the new MARS coin for a more detailed version but so far no close ups sufficient to get the proper detail have surfaced.
I have way, Way, WAY too many irons in the fire at the moment
@Lopaka KaMars …I was not patient enough to be patient. I left the stunt double on the bench and dove into the deep end of the bay with my star doing his own stunts (Tom Cruise would be proud). The Croc is glued on the Crater! I just figure if I did it nice and neat on the stunt double I’d be kicking myself I just did not lock and load and take the shot! Looks pretty darn cool if I do say so myself
It was simultaneously both harder and easier than I thought. On the up side the stitch holes match the perforation hole lines on the oculars fairly well. The back seam is right about where it should be…I think.
Gonna let that bad boy dry and then see what a mess I can make of the stitching…tomorrow if there is enough whiskey for some liquid courage beforehand

Ya see this little feint? This is what was breaking my brain. How were they doing this with one line of perforations. This is my best guess.

I want to do that bottom one in leather so darn bad…sadly with a soft photo image my only real option is to hand trace it…ugh. But I may still do it one day.
I need a logo patch for the MARS Lopaka Mk I ya know
EDIT: In a perfect world I'd get ahold of one...then do about 50 photos of it from all angle and reproduce it in 3D via Photogrammetry then I'd be able to morph it however I wanted...but not happening in this lifetime. A the end of the day I think I can replicate the 1998 logo and get it on leather...hey ask for the world and be happy when ya get the continent of North America!Last edited:
