Yes…I should have noted that the glue was mainly if not all on the backside in my original post. I’ll go back and edit it.

Now forgive my slight nit picking…I notice on your nose bridge on the bottom? Am I seeing that the seam looks like it might be lifting slightly? Might just be the angle or a shadow. One of the things that amazed me on mine was I could only barely see the nose bridge seam…course it’s ten times dirtier than yours!

I also note the backside of the wing seams on both of ours looks like you could not slide a razor between them. I just find this all interesting

i have two … so not sure if they are both like that out of its the angle. i see what your saying but could deduce that the older the leather the more fluffed up and may cover the seams. and they are more visible on the new ones when they may have moved ofe time and shifted.

I can take pictures of both later to check on the those spots for both.

I had to really wash these pics out so the nose bridge seams would show. It hits the same spot on the backside near the bottom with my current template shown here on my croc crater and the stunt double when I had stingray on it.

I’m hoping the removal of this original leather will provide a much more accurate wing template. My current templates came from the stunt double. The orange lines are where I think I see the seam on the original leather. Just gotta find the time!

Not sure if this is useful for anyone other than myself (I’m guessing @Lopaka KaMars and maybe a few other Jordan owners for gee whiz if nothing else). I wanted to photo document the seam location and general look of the OEM leather. I was constantly digging up a pic of this angle, the nose bridge bottom, the back of a wing…such things. Now I got it at a glance

Did the other just cause I was playin’

Not sure what took me so long to do the “obvious” Oakley Logo leather patch. Operator Cap size…2x3.

Still digging the natural leather with only Neatsfoot Oil. Good thing about it, is that it will naturally darken with age.

Also a new Veteran SI set
