The Video Games Thread

The PS5 is freaking massive. I wasn’t prepared for how big it is. Also I’m sad that Starfield and future Bethesda games like Elder Scrolls and Fallout won’t be coming to the PS5 😢😢😢
It really is. I’m used to fitting consoles side-by-side under the gaming TV but there’s room for a PS4 controller to charge next to the PS5 and not much more!

Lately I been crushing Switch games, Zelda-Breath of the Wild was a masterpiece. Witcher 3 is super vast, Immortals: Fenyx Rising didnt wow me. The Mario games are all awesome. Luigi’s Mansion was great! I am fortunate enough to be a child of the late 70’s so I more or less had every system and have played everything from Pitfall to God of War.

What are some of the hardest games you ever played? What is your top 5? I’d say some of the hardest were Battletoads (NES), Metal Gear (NES), Flashback: The Quest for Identity (SNES), Pilotwings (SNES), Tombraider 1 (PS1), Tonk Hawks:
Pro Skater 2 (PS1), Earthworm Jim (SNES)

My top is hard to narrow down...
In no order had to do ten LMAO
God of War Series (GOW3 if I have to pick one)
Final Fantasy VII
Super Mario World
Zelda:Link to the Past
Kingdom Hearts
Metal Gear Solid
GTA V
Metroid
EVO: The Quest for Eden
Diablo
Used to chill with my bro while he played kingdom hearts, good times. This thread really brings me back!

been playing Mechwarrior 5 on series X, Brings me back to the old PC Mechwarrior games ( now if only I had my old sidewinder pro !!). NBA2K21 is still a blast and holding out hope for Cyberpunk 4K version but may cave and play it anyways.

I've actually been playing that a little bit again. only because a few of my friends still like it and it's still kinda fun with friends. I wouldn't play it without them. the bots they use to fill lobby's now are sooo dumb. they just jump in one place or run back and forth most of the time. lol. it seems like 70% of the players are bots now.

PC? Yeah the bots were annoying. Do you play apex or warzone?

PUBG and Warzone I play on Xbox, Apex I play on PC. Apex is the game I play the most. Warzone I'm just getting back into and have been playing it more the last 2 weeks.

Warzone lets you use a mouse and keyboard on Xbox which is nice. I mostly prefer to have FPS games on PC or whichever platform lets me use mouse and keyboard.

If you have a 4K / HDR TV the series X upscaled “regular” CuberPunk up and it looked good. Was smooth besides the bugs…

Thanks, I'll probably play it after I finish Mechwarrior. bought it on release day and been holding off since. Disappointing release with all of the bugs and it not being upscaled from the get go, especially for such a major title. Seems to be the way of releases nowadays. Crank it out the door and then ask for forgiveness as you work through the bugs. Anthem and Outriders are 2 other notable "Not quite ready for prime time" out of the box releases.
