then why don't oakley use that technique on the other lenses , those with logos / "prizm" etching on the bottom of the lens?

No, can't see it when wearing. I'm totally assuming here, but reckon because whatever method they used to achieve that is likely more laborious and/or more expensive vs simple etching at the bottom of the lens
