Watches Other Than Oakley

Bro, don’t count yourself out, you can make it happen. It hasn’t been until recently, that I’ve been able to afford such luxuries. I’ve held a job since I was 16 years old and worked hard for everything. Was in and out of school for years on end, and just now in my mid forties am I able to get a few things. But there’s always someone with more. Look at Frank, Lol 😉

Part of my problem was that I always wanted things outside of my budget, but it always drove me to find a way to succeed to be able to get what I wanted. Next level, you know? I saw the thing I wanted and pushed myself to get to the next level. I was struggling not too long ago.

Schwarzenegger Legacy AP is a great goal. If it motivates you and pushes you to the next level that’s great. I would really love an AP Skeleton or Concept, but I think next on my list is a Diver 15710 black dial of course. Well, that or an Omega Deep Black. It’s been on my mind for a while.

Thanks for the words of motivation. Hey when people work hard for what they have I think that's great.
Omega deep black is gorgeous! I was looking at the deep black rose gold gmt PO for a minute, then I read horror stories about cracked ceramic cases and chipped lugs, I was too afraid of that to go forward with it

hadn’t Heard the horror stories, but that’s good to know. I tried them on a while back. And also the Dark Side. I don’t own any of these.

I saw lots of horror stories of the early IWCs breaking (up to and including shattering 😨) but fewer problems with the recent Omegas. They seem to be making them a lot less brittle now.

A shame the Speedies are the 44.25mm case, I could go for that in a Pro moonwatch case.

I might get crap for this, but I’m really liking the Invicta pro diver. Solid automatic movement, hand winding, simple dial, not too big. My only problem is that the aluminum bezel scratches easily.
I’m still on the lookout for my perfect diver, but this is a great placeholder until I decide what I want to drop more money on.

Cheers, here's my 42mm rose gold pro diver nh35a with vanilla scented isofrane strap. Lots of wrist time, take in the shower, whatever! You could spend $70 a lot worse ways (well, another $100 for the strap, so worth it though)
