Like I said earlier in the thread- If we had a tuned 2-door Focus I might have gone that route instead of the Mini. We have a terrible selection of small cars, and an even worse selection of 2-doors.

I think the latest model Focus III is global same in Europe and US.A couple of months ago the ST version of Focus III
was released.

Go after the ones with the 1750 Tbi engine.Much much better than the 2.2.More power less consumption, less taxes etc

I just find it ironic that Europe gets the better deal out of an American car company. There's for sure a market for them here, but I'm not Ford Marketing. Oh well.

I am big guy, little car driver myself. Granted, the GTI isn't as mini as a Mini, I love both. I was in the market for a MCS when I was buying, but the GTI won out because I got a sweet deal - paid $2200 under invoice for a loaded 4-door minus NAVI. They were selling them above MSRP a month later!

If I had a Mini it'd be all aesthetic, at first - 2" drop and BBS RC/Rotiform wheels go a long way towards SEXY!

Ford Europe is pretty independent. The Focus is a European car that was brought to the US.

If I see a good set of 17" sport wheels for a good price I'll buy them and keep these 16's for winter tires.

Aye some of the folk on the Alfa forums have said that. Personally if it was up to me and I had the cash it would be a V6 haha they sound amazing!

Totally agree with you. The sound of it makes me sick!!!hehe.But in Greece with all these taxes added on cars
having a 3.2 lt is really difficult.

I think the third generation of Focus is produced only in 4-5 doors and station wagon editions.

Same in the UK would cost £400 odd for a years road tax on V6!

but ive stuck with reliable japanese and honda

its a 2008 type s ivtec, 6 spd manual, 34k miles, with some subtle modifications done such as new rims (not sure if ill keep), parking sensors, body coloured bodywork, tinted windows, uprated discs & pads, lowered 40mm.

im looking at adding some ICE to start
