What Are You Driving ?

Since everyone is posting their bikes, I guess I should post my new one.

I’ve been wanting that bad boy since it first came out. It’s a beauty and so much fun to ride.

Sent from Mars.
Had my eye on the V-Rod ever since they came out. Was not even planning or looking but then when I heard that they were doing away with it and 2017 would be the last production year for it, I picked one up.
Had the dealer flat bed one from KY as there were none to be had in MI. So far have been very happy with it.

I’ve owned crotch rockets in the past. I began to want to cross over to cruisers and had my eye on a Night Train. Then the Night Rod Special came out and I felt it was a nice bike that kind-of met in the middle between a crotch rocket and a cruiser. Then I test drove one and really wanted it. I’m 6’4” tall and had a tough time fitting comfortably on bikes that were less than 1000cc, and was looking to bump up into the Hayabusa range in order to get a bigger frame that would fit me. I was hesitant though about that death trap. I almost died in a motorcycle accident 13 years ago, so I took an extended break from riding. But that Night Rod was very comfortable the couple of times I rode it, and I fit on it quite well. It’s such a beautiful bike and has some great power. I’ll own one someday.

Kind of a similar story. I guess age catches up and in my case I started to drift towards the cruiser once I crossed 35. I had a bad accident in my early 20s and have gotten careful since, though that accident was not my fault. Surprisingly, the Night rod is indeed a comfortable ride. My wife has started to hop on a few times with me as a fellow passenger and wants to now get endorsed and get something small.
The Breakout is another one that might suit your needs too and is quite comparable to the Night Rod.
A bit over priced IMO. HDs answer to the chopper style.
