I got 8 tires and a set of 17" rims for $200. It took 2 years, but all 8 tires developed side wall issues. I won't get that brand again.

You got two years out of 8 tyres, plus rims, for less than it costs me to replace a single tyre, you did ok! Seeing that split wouldn’t give me much peace of mind though...

I probably could have found a tire in my backyard that would have worked. Apparently I collect tires. I drive the truck enough that it probably should have better tires.
