It's not real thick, maybe 1/4", but it's intense. I normally use mesquite but forgot that I ran out; this is with hickory:

Made sone beer candied bacon over the weekend

Mix 1 part beer to 2 parts brown sugar

place bacon on a rack on a cookie sheet in the over at 400 every 10 min coat both sides with beer sugar mix till bacon is crisp let cool then enjoy
