Haha Trulucks. Our favorite restaurant and she was sad I parted with two glasses for her laptop but I gained brownie points for my next purchase haha

I've been taking some pics but haven't had a chance to upload / post anything; getting caught up...

Last week in Toronto we were taken out to a Japanese Teppan grill. Started with some sushi then had the seafood combo (shrimp, scallops, fish, lobster).

Traveling back home, I stopped at the Pappadeaux in the Houston airport during a layover. Had some oysters on the half shell and this, their crawfish platter. It's half fried crawfish tails and half crawfish etouffee served with dirty rice:

Friday we tried a little hole-in-the-wall in Cedar Park that does Mexican and American food. They do breakfast all day so I had the chicken fried steak and eggs.

It was obviously one of those places where somebody who can cook decides to open a restaurant with absolutely zero restaurant experience. Those sort of people like to put a lot of signs all over the place bossing the customers around. "No outside food or drink!" "Restrooms for customers only!" "Enter through this door, exit through that one!" "Refills cost extra!"

When I ordered I told the waiter I also wanted an a la carte taco. His reply was, "Sorry I don't know what a la carte is."

I didn't care for the seasoning in the taco meat, too much cumin. The CFS & eggs were good, though.
