Falls more into the breaded category than tempura lol. Was probably still good though.

I need to road trip it back to Arlington to my favorite sushi place.

A lot of sushi places run by non-Japanese Asians tend to use a thick batter that isn't really tempura. Mind you, I've had dodgy tempura in Japan as well!

Most sushi here is part of Chinese buffet restaurants... bleh. Wrong culture preparing the food using the cheapest ingredients they can find left under a heat lamp..... PASS.
