One time I went to pick up some friends from Europe at JFK airport.....they were NOT Italian but I still picked them up anyway..... on the way through Brooklyn (it was around midnight) I said anyone hungry? of course after however many hours they were on the plane they said yes..... I take them to one of my favorite places in Brooklyn for pizza......after looking at their faces of delight while they are eating I ask....Good? Their reply......amazing...never had pizza like this......NO KETCHUP ON IT! I said why would there be ketchup on the pizza? Turns out that is how it's made in their country. And it is CRAP.

Where in Europe? Never had, nor heard of, pizza made with ketchup. And I hate ketchup just as much as Kronin, so I'd have noticed...

Is Brooklyn better for pizza than Manhattan then? Was always disappointed with pizza in NYC - one was about passable, the rest were pretty poor.
