When is enough pairs enough?

I myself, had over 200 pairs and now downsized to around 70 (life happened). But I’m gonna want to add new pairs and replace the pairs I had to sell when I am able to. But some of you here have over 500 and others over a 1000. So my question is when is enough pairs enough?
Feel free to chime in on your collecting history and thoughts.

I used to have a different pair for everyday for a year. But, I downsized to about a 100 recently. TBH, I really don’t miss the ones that I sold.

Around 100 pairs seems manageable, the hardcore 100, all killer, no filler!
