Why do Whiskers cost so much more than Blenders?

They look very similar in appearance... yet I always see brand new blenders without tags selling on ebay for no more than 50.00-60.00 on average. and new Whiskers going for well over 100.00 in auctions... the only difference I can see is the whiskers might be a few mm smaller in height.

Whiskers are also ALL metal. Blender has O Matter arms.

So would the O matter arms create more or less weight? I know the Whisker C5 is 24 grams...cant find any information on Blender weight.

I need to get new rubbers for my whiskers. They are great glasses.

Dont expect new rubbers to last. I got replacement set from Oakley store about a year ago and they are already splitting. Put originals back on cause they are in better shape than the new ones.

Mine where left in my truck on a 105 degree day. They started to melt. They are a, forgive me, hot mess.

..Whisker C5 is 24 grams...

Blender is also 24g.
Blender feels cheaper, more poorly constructed by comparison.
Arms touch back of lenses when folded...

Actually the tips of the arms on my whisker c5's touch the extreme outer portion of the inside of the lens. not sure if this is typical or if my frame is a bit out of alignment.
