X Metal XX Rarity

Looking around I've seen tons of posts about eBay being wildly overpriced. Does this also apply to the XX models? I assume they're quite a bit more rare, but I can't imagine it being 2X the price of Juliets. I have a larger head, so I have to track down a pair.

All depends on the seller really, you should be able to find one for around 600 to 800 depending on condition, eBay is just ridiculous when pricing Oakley, everything is gold to them

Figured it was WILDLY overpriced for what they were thanks for the confirmation.

The rarity would be plasma, there was only one generation, several for the rest

I too have a larger head and wear XX instead of Juliets and I own 4 pairs. (Plasma, X-Metal, TiO2 and Polished) and I never paid more than $800 even for the Plasma pair. All bought here.

The goal is to find at least a set of X-Metals and maybe a plasma set. We'll see how it shakes out.

You mean, a set of XXs? (A set of X Metals would include Romeo 1 {full frame OG}, Romeo 2 {half frame/semi rimless}, Penny, Juliet, Half-X, XX and X squared. And maybe Mars)

As an option, if you like the look of the Plasma frame (kind of a bare metal), you can consider getting any other color frame and having them (lightly) polished. The end result will be a pair of XXs with a silver, kind of "raw unfinished" metal finish.

Yeah all XX models specifically the dull grey finish or plasma. I’m going to take my time and see what I can find. Plasma would be nice, but might take time to find one.
