Great story with one of the all time greatest.

He doesn't live in Alvin anymore, but every time we are talking about that side of town, we say "oh, out by Nolan Ryan's house ??"

Hahaha !!!

We know that part of town was his hood...

Lotta land, big ol fence, but the house itself was really modest...single story, probably 2600sqft if I had to guess...

At that time, Alvin only had 18,000 people in it...

Right now, it's @ 21,000 lol...

He's got a life statue at the Alvin City Hall

Probably a normal guy in the community back in the day. Far and few pro athletes in top ten of most sports are like this now...then again most fan are only out for an autograph they can sell on fleabay to make a quick dollar.
