Removing Ear Socks on Turbine and Rotor

Can anyone explain in detail how you remove the ear socks on the Turbine or Turbine Rotor? I read a flathead screwdriver is used to get the plastic behind the icon out, but I don't want to break anything. Thank you in advance for any assistance.

yup flathead screwdriver. I just place the screwdriver upright on a table and push down against it with the frame. It'll take a lot of force. If you have an O store nearby it's better if they do it. They'll do the same thing, but at least if they break it you get a free set of ear socks.
