Yes, Sunglass Outlet is a legitimate authorized retailer selling authentic sunglasses, eyeglasses, and frames including Oakley, Ray-Ban, Celine, Gucci, Costa Del Mar, and others.
And from a quick search, we found 5,767 verified reviews of positive experiences on the site.
We weren’t able to find a Better Business Bureau (BBB) rating or any complaints for Sunglass Outlet, but this isn’t uncommon for smaller businesses.
Now let’s find out a bit more.
Where is Sunglass Outlet Located?
According to their website, Sunglass Outlet is based in Plantation Florida.
And the company advertises it has been in business since 1997 based on their domain name registration.
Does SunglassOutlet.com Sell Authentic Designer Sunglasses?
Yes, from our experience ordering from Sunglass Outlet, the Oakley sunglasses were 100% authentic.
And since almost all of the brands they sell on their website including Oakley, Ray-Ban, Coach, Burberry, and others are all owned by eyewear mega-giant Luxottica, its a good sign that they are able to offer them all.
Our SunglassOutlet.com Ordering Experience
We gave SunglassOutlet.com a try by ordering 2 new pairs of Oakley sunglasses – a Flak 2.0 XL with Prizm Field lenses and a Retina Burn Jawbreaker with Prizm Road lenses.
Website
Starting off, we found the Sunglass Outlet website pretty easy to use. They offer a ton of filters to find the sunglasses you want. We used the brand filter to quickly drill down to the 300+ Oakley frames they currently offer.
From there, the Lens color filter made it easy to find specific Prizm lenses we were interested in. And the large images on the website made it easy for us to find the sunglasses we were looking for.
Once you select a frame, you can view all the details about it including dimensions, lens type and other details. We really liked this summary view for quick access to the information we care most about when buying.
Pricing, and Placing an Order
One of the most important areas for the pairs we ordered is pricing. Advertised as their “Outlet Price”, Sunglass Outlet offers a discount offer retail prices.
As we covered in our guide to buying cheap Oakleys, we usually shop at retailers that offer these types of discounts. Typically referred to as “Grey Market” dealers, these websites buy wholesale items directly from Oakley (or other brands) and sell them below the Manufacturer’s suggested retail price or MSRP.
This is how they’re able to pass discounts along to you.
And both of the pairs we ordered were discounted as expected.
The Jawbreaker was discounted by 25% from its $226 retail price to $169.50. And the Flak 2.0 XL also had a 25% discount dropping its price from $184 to $138.
From a quick search, discounts ranged based on the frame from 25% to 56% off.
And when we added both these pairs to the cart, the discounts were instantly reflected. Plus we were able to find a coupon code for an additional 10% off that brought the total down another $30!
Free 2-Day Shipping and Same Day Processing
Sunglass Outlet makes it very known throughout the site that they offer free 2-day shipping on orders over $65. Plus on each product page, next to the price, they display a countdown to make same-day shipping.
And in this world of Amazon Prime, and with Oakley recently launching free 2-hour pickup at stores, this is definitely welcomed.
In our recent review of competitor EZContacts, we loved that they offered fast shipping options but were disappointed with the cost.
We ordered our shades about 3 hours before the same-day cutoff on a Monday and received a receipt and shipping notice shortly after.
Receiving our Order
The next day after receiving our shipping notices, the USPS First Class shipping information updated showing a delivery for Wednesday, the following day.
Our sunglasses were very well packed, and all of the Oakleys included their original papers and boxes.
Refunds and Returns
While we didn’t use the refund or return process for our glasses, Sunglass Outlet does offer free returns within 30 days of delivery using a prepaid label.
To start a return you can access the return portal on their website, enter your order number and print a label.
But your order does need to include the original packaging, box and any paperwork (e.g warranty cards).
Our Final Thoughts – Do We recommend Sunglass Outlet?
Overall, we had a great experience with SunglassOutlet.com and can confirm that Sunglass Outlet is legit.
The 2 pairs of Oakleys we received were authentic and a great price. Plus with free 2-day shipping, we definitely will keep this site in mind for future orders.

If you select the Price Match button it will open a form allowing you to submit the link of the same item along with your personal details.
From there Sunglass Outlet will review the details and if valid and in-stock they will match the price through their website.
This is actually a nice feature, mainly because of the free 2-day shipping offered by the site.
Prescription Lenses
While Sunglass Outlet does sell Oakley eyeglasses frames, they don’t offer prescription lenses.
This means you’ll need to go to another online retailer or your local eye doctor to have lenses made for your frame.
While this may still be the cheaper option, you’ll want to explore whether it’s better to just buy directly from whoever is making your lenses.

We were able to find a 10% off code (“MBB10”) that applied on top of our already 25% sunglasses.
