Changing Encoder lenses?

Seriously?? It seems like they already canned the Kato X frame, now they might get rid of the Encoder frame too?
They aren't getting rid of them, they just said "due the current construction of the encoders, lenses cannot be swapped"

D'OH!

:headbang:

The dude above said customer care said they aren’t gonna keep actively producing. Kinda like the wind jacket. But who knows. Hopefully they just get rid of the katos, keep the encoders!!!

Well if I had a dollar for every time customer care was wrong, I wouldn't be working for Lux. So I'll believe it when I'm told directly

Oakleys customer care is crap lol sucks to say that but they are lol

Also I get my info from HQ  sometimes store managers get info that just is there to make them happy. Lots of things were promised when I was an emp and I still haven’t seen them released in stores lol

I just have a hard time believing they would stop actively producing both the Kato X and Encoder (I could see them stopping production of the Kato X because of the Encoder being similar, but not both of them all together).

Find the sales numbers and that will most likely answer your question. If something doesn’t sell, Lux will pull it for sure. Just a thought

Completely agree, but both of these frames haven’t even been on the market yet for 2 months so I can’t imagine they are using sales numbers to justify shelving the frames (and it seems like they never have all the color ways available for each frame so I don’t think the frames aren’t selling). I guess time will tell us what they decide.

I dunno, just throwing an idea out. They might have a poor projection on sales based on some market research they did since these pairs were announced. IMO every time Lux tries to do OG oakley, it’s a big fail. I’m sure they know their bread and butter are the cookie cutter lifestyle frames.
