Everyone loved the purple ones. I personally only owned 4 of them. The other 3 I owned rediclous amounts of. Later on the purple ones turned up in a staple commercial. I'm talking years after I had them. I think originally it was an idea they tried that just wasn't consistent enough. Some had huge gaps in the hydro foil inside the frame and at the ends of the stems. Some were ok but most had their issues. Shame they never figured it out and went into production.

They recently had one on display at the new hq set up. They do match the grenade goggles released years ago. The dips on the goggles seem to be much better. But it could be the fact the back side is covered by padding. Credit to @zwc0442 for the photo!

Prototype pairs wouldn't have been numbered or anything and would be impossible to say how many there were..I owned at least 30 of them. Just a guess...is that I ended up with most of what HQ had.
