Dyeing rubbers.

Anyone here have any luck dyeing rubbers for customs? My son wants to build a smoky and the bandit pair to go with his car, however gold rubbers do not exist. White linegear rubbers dyed gold seem like they might work? Any thoughts?

I have dyed white Ichiro rubbers purple.
Get the correct dye
RITE, but there is a special kind, I forget
(Google it)
I used a stir plate with heat, stir bar and beaker.
Left them over night.
Removed
Washed soap and water.

Rit dye more for synthetics . Works great on rubber grips. I dyed a white set pink for new m frames and an OG m frame that had clesr grips that were yellowing took the purple dye perfect too.
