Is there some type of aftermarket fluorescent fixture mounted in the top?

Your photo is blurry but you're not supposed to see any fluorescent fixture at all.


There's one inside the top though to light the Oakley logo on front. But should not be one in the case for downlighting.

Mmhm. Good eye. That's a 3.0 for sure. I can see the halogen (or led) bulbs but I also see that fluorescent tube. I bet the halogens stopped working so they DIY'd that fluorescent tube up there.

No worries though, there are several threads by me, carguy, and others about changing out all that crap anyway so you'll have little to no issues. Just be prepared for it.
