Hatchet Spring Hinge repair

Finally i’m back in Norway so here it is:
3D printed hinge parts

These will not break so easily since they are not plastic.
I think the original plastic part over time will be brittle as well as use of the glasses of course, and break off.
Will see when I have been using these for a while how it goes

It's a cool frame (at least for me) and it's better to find solutions than give up :)

finally got the opportunity to install the new hinge parts in metal.
They work great as they should when opening and closing the arms.
Hope they don't break as the plastic one do and we get rid of this problem.

Thanks @Scarface for the update. Did you order these hinges thru Belgian ebay seller bororo24?
 
Spring and plastic part is quite hard and it is difficult to align to the center of the screw hole, you need to use some force to push the spring a little back. Not so easy to push and try to screw.

I've had a go at this, and it is very tricky to force the screw back and line the holes up. I eventually managed it, and with my wife wielding the screwdriver, a broken arm was fixed. Thanks to @Scarface for the original post showing how he'd done it.
