Hi everyone, my name is Zach and my Oakley journey started relatively recently but my dad has been into the brand for years. I found out my dad has these X-Metal XXs (2nd generation, if I read the serial number right) from years ago that he has long stopped wearing - the nose bridge and lenses have become damaged, among other things. Sooooo I'm looking to repair them and came here hoping someone could point me in the right direction.

Greetings.

They look like they're XTs, TiO2s.

Welcome to the forum. Can definitely help you out with em, I'm a fellow Zach as well lol. Don't see many of us around spelled with an H instead of a K.
Hi fellow Zach! I've been looking into getting these glasses repaired and I was wondering whether to have them sent off to someone to repair them for me or if it's viable for me to order replacement parts and fix them myself. The nose bridge definitely needs replacing, the lenses seem to have lost some of the polarising film (not sure of their exact name) so they could be replaced too. I was also wondering about the necessary tools. I've never done anything like this before so I'm scared I might break my dad's glasses even more than they already are.

I'd suggest sending them out if you only have the one, or if have never done it before. It's fairly easy to damage the nose bridge if you've not done a few. I charge 45 for a tune up which includes new nose pins, flex couplers, orbital gaskets, and earstem washers. I can cut replacement lenses as well.
