So if I'm keeping up here, there seems to be a difference in the printing of the "pitboss" lettering on the stems. Nerd's seems to be pressed in, whereas SpliceD and Overlord's seem to be raised. If all examples are real, why the different lettering?

There are PLENTY of ways other than the lettering to identify a fake PB. Nobody can get even CLOSE to building a fake PB that cannot be spotted. At least to my eyes, although I'm really good at spotting fakes.

Can anyone tell me if Oakley ever changed the elite microfiber bags on the PB's?? I used to own a few pairs and the bags had that velvet feel to them. Someone is selling me a bag and the material is not of that velvet material, however, the elite O are on both sides, black pull strings etc.. looks legit. Just the material is different. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks " O " Fam!!

So I just got a set of Pit Boss from a dubious Canadian seller and wanted to see what you all think.

I have an authentic pair as well. If anything, this new eBay pair is either a very good fake or is actually authentic. The eBay pair has no screw heads on the inside of the frame, but all rivets. It has the exact same markings on the inside of the stems (Pit Boss name, Made in USA, etc.). Both pairs weigh the same. The left lens on both pairs has "POLARIZED" etched into the corner.

However, there are some subtle differences, but wasn't sure if this could be chalked up to manufacturing variances. They are:

1) The lense color is slightly different between the two pairs. The one off eBay seems to have less of a mirror / iridium effect to it. However, they still appear to be polarized as tested by the rainbow effect that shows when looking at an LCD screen.

2) The "Polarized" etching on the eBay pair does not seem as pronounced. The etching appears "deeper" on my authentic pair.

3) The rivets on the eBay pair stick significantly further out of the inside of the frame than the authentic pair, and seem bigger. I am wondering if they may be coverings for screws underneath? No way to tell unless I can disassemble the plates. The rivets are also have a slight bronze color when compared to the rest of the titanium plate.

4) The authentic pair has a small box with a capital "A" on the inside of the hinge (ie when the stems are folded in). The eBay pair does not. See attached photo.

Have you all ever seen fakes with rivets, or at least an attempt to cover up the rivets? Or ones that weigh the same and have etching on the lens, as well as being polarized? Thanks for the help.

Looks fake... Canada, hinges look cheap, SS letters are too skinny, matte black is easily knocked off, and PITBOSS is inner-beveled instead of embossed. This is by memory from my authentic pair.
