Is The Metal Slider Removable On Dispatch 1?

was looking at these online and was curious if the metal slide that holds the icon in comes off from the frame easily . I was thinking of coating a pair.

uhm don't mean to hi jack thread but I have the same concerns too, can any one suggest on how to do it without making further scratches or damages? The coatings on my OG dispatch already came off too!
And what could be the coating technique?

Speaking of the Dispatch I, are the lenses the same as the Dispatch II? I see Oakley lists Dispatch lenses but does not say it's for the II...
