But these kinda clips are the best! :neo:

Also please note that the "prongs" on the orbitals are not round but somewhat oval on one side. There is a round-er side and an oval-er side. Grab the glasses with one hand to compress the orbital together, using hemostats (hopefully without resin) or needlenose pliers slide a clip over the narrow side (open the clip somewhat if necessary), and rotate the clip 90 degrees and release the orbital allowing the orbital to expand and then the clip is kept in place by tension and won't pop off. Use needlenose to compress the clip if necessary/desired.
(hopefully w/out resin) that was hilarious amigo!😂

Thanks for all the helpful tips, this was very easy, just use the right tool and be patient/careful. Line up the slit or opening on ring and orbital, slide the screwdriver carefully and slowly pry/twist to open up the ring/clip, just enough so you can squeeze the orbital together to lift the ring off one side. The rings did not break, so I will just re-use them. 👍

For those who wants to use snap ring pliers, McMaster-Carr has different C-Clips or Retaining Rings, but only one that might work though is the self locking external retaining ring, it's the only one that has a 1/8" ID. The area where the ring sits on the orbital measure 0.106" (2.69mm) OD with the lens on.

First of all, Mars C-rings is not the same as industrial

Industrial rings can be installed and removed with special tool for that and can be reused several times

Mars C-rings
You have to expand or squeeze these to fit

If you have just one Mars and like to change lenses back and forth you can use rubber o-ring like these
but have to pick a tight one/ diameter. (this is industrial not the ring's you're thinking about)
