Oakley wingfold EVR discontinued--need replacement lenses

Well they just arrived this afternoon....was really looking forward to them. However, they are an enormous dissapointment. As I referenced before, Chris called me and spent 30-45 min discussing lens types, digital vs non-digital, discussing luxottica and how monolopolistic the industry has become, trivex vs polycarbonate vs mineral, etc As I referenced in my posts and speaking with Chris, I was looking for whatever the best lenses were, cost was not an issue.

When the topic of digital vs non-digital lenses came up, he assured me that with my prescription I would not notice the difference. He verified on the phone that my current lenses were in fact, digital. He also mentioned he does not do digital in-house but contracts them out to a third party.

What I receieved was very poor edge polishing and noticiable distortion with head movement of any kind. I called and after the receptionist verified my name and order was told "Chris was not available". Over the course of 25 minutes she tried to minimize the issues, told me I could pay more for digital lenses (that they don't even do!) and refused to take any responsibility for the lens polish/edge issues. Since I'm not in California I could "take the chance to send them back" to work on the edge polishing....I will let the pictures do the rest of the talking.

Great work as per @Chris A Hardaway

I bought a replacement EVR Frame recently with mid spec prescription lenses, I must have got a dead stock frame, Got the blue one.

Kept my old Satin Pewter one to do my exercise programme in.

I was looking forward to these, but they were an enormous dissapointing despite paying top dollar. The lenses are unusable.

I was not available. Why "not available". Are you available every time someone calls? I can often be busy. I'm not sure I understand your angle trying to blast me online. But even at that. How much magnification are we talking to see the very slight amount of swarf you can scrape off easily w your fingernail sir.

You catch more flies with honey than vinegar. Feel free to communicate by email or mage my inbox anytime. I'm sure my staff told you Id call back. Instead I emailed you after hours and now before business hours. Id say that's pretty amazing service. And my office manager said she spent about 30 minutes on the phone w/ you.

She made multiple suggestions to which she found you rude, rigid, unwilling to listen, or take her professional advice. I've since emailed you and asked you return them to me for a free remake, and a free upgrade to digital lenses. This will cost me $40 to $60. But I'm willing to cover that. Just be kind and stop being rude please.

The $360 included 20% off and fee shipping.

Single vision $75
Trivex $100
Anti reflective Crizal rock uv coating $179.95
Drill holes and mount $50
Edge polish $32
Plus shipping would be full price.

So i was my typical fair and generous w my time and product. But online I'll defend my reputation to follow standard practices, good service, and usual and customary fees that are very normal. Not too mention having given you s discount.

Feel free to call around your local optometry shops and compare their prices to the above 5 itemized fees. I won't spend anymore time on this today. Thanks
