the DOT dude said a beer gets away in 8 hours
and CDL drivers have 0% tolerance

How do they test you? Blood or urine sample? Breathalyzer?

Well, urine tests can detect alcohol a lot longer than 8 hours, in some cases up to 48 hours. And a different urine test that detects an alcohol metabolite called EtG supposedly can detect it up to 80 hours.

Unless you're never allowed to drink ever, on or off the clock, seems like a positive result could be argued was from consumption during a time when it was safe. They need a blood test to tell what was actually in your system, and that "one hour per drink" guideline applies to that one.

Either way, though, no need to take unnecessary risks...

I just got back to the warehouse and talk to my boss
he strongly recomends me to only drink over the weekend
DOT laws are getting strick and strickter everytime
I honestly didn't know it was a big deal
Obviously I was wrong
