They look great no doubt
Oh yeah I remember. I'll be probably asking you for forwarding me similar package somewhere in july for my wife's birthdayYa, I'm sort of a people pleaser. Do you remember that @rzurzel
Hehe. I really don't want to mess with the big taco donors anymore. Getting the flat spot perfectly split with my Briot edger is unpredictable/inconsistent. So I'm only batting like .750, I like 1.00 in most cases
So now I hear plaintiff lenses work! I see some emerald on sale Oakley.com
I wonder who will let me borrow their OTT!?
Sounds like an easy job, no brainer. My inexperience with this particular frame makes me less of an expert on this one.
But orientation does matter. That I know. The prism must measure base in. So for example if right lens was switched to left side optics would be fine IF it was rotated exactly 180 degrees. Think about that for a minute!
Naaaaah they look like knock offs send them to me I'll utilize them buahahahView attachment 242907
Looks flawless to me!
I had a feeling I've seen you somewhere before @DnkeyhnterYou gonna turn into a purple people eater if you keep this up @Dnkeyhnter
Lol! I'm glad you are happy and you still have the OEM black iridium if you ever get sick of them!
In other words there is no left and right OTT OEM lens, just a 45 degree rotation?Getting back to the original topic of lens orientation in Over The Top frames, I just looked at a FMJ OTT with black iridium lenses. Supposedly the lenses hadn't been touched since the frame was new.
In this OTT frame the lens orientation was:
left lens: bump in upper outer (ear-side) quadrant;
right lens: bump in lower inner (nose-side) quadrant.
In the other frame I looked at, a matte black OTT with ruby iridium lenses, both lenses had the bump in the upper outer quadrant. Here's a throwback link to my original post about this frame's lens orientation:
OTT Lens orientation
Although the two frames have the lenses mounted with different orientations, at least they agree on which lens is left and which is right.
The lenses are oval, so, as long as you keep the iridium facing outwards, there are only two orientations to choose from when mounting a lens in a given orbital. But you can mount each lens in either orbital.In other words there is no left and right OTT OEM lens, just a 45 degree rotation?
