Rick58 Customs

Another Straight Jacket. Started with a $25 beater I bought off a neighbor late last year. They had been sitting on a shelf in his garage for a couple of years. Couldn't decide what colors to go with at first. After looking at some of my others I came up with this.

Thank You. I appreciate the compliment. But what I do is nothing compared to what the skilled artists/craftsman (and we know who they are) on this forum do. They create works of ART. I paint. There's a real big difference. I would have to do this every day for years to even come half way close to what they do. I've painted everything from cars, bikes, a small plane to school buses and garbage trucks. Even weird stuff like a 1940's refrigerator and stove. Oakley's are much, much more difficult, no margin for error. There's no taking back runs and drips, no wet sanding and buffing it out. Like what you do, one mistake, it's over. But that being said, back in the day I could lay some paint. Just a small sample of some of what I've done in the past. Sorry about the picture quality but some are 18+ y/o cell phone pics and 20 y/o Polaroids.

Excellent work, you are right, 90% of the time if I make a mistake it can't be saved. I've always hated that about lenses... Great work, still wanted you to get the feedback!
