I think you missed the exploitation.

The Flipper/snakes give the newbie their phone number.
Newbie sells their Dads/Uncles items to the snake for $0.30 on the dollar.
Snake only takes the high value items, leaves the standard and garbage for their fellow forum members to purchase.

Snake posts the items elsewhere (NOT HERE!) for 250% more than he snaked the unknowing Newbie for.

This is bad, & has been going on for several years.

Adding a larger barrier to entry with further exacerbate the issue.

It’s blatant and apparent, look at the welcome threads, and you can see it happening right in the damn open…again for several years now…

For some it’s too late. Dial. *67 to block your phone number before dialing. I’m not saying I do stuff like that. We all know who the snakes are. Trying to corner of the market.

This happened to me when I first joined, when I made a post about all the stuff my dad gave me, I won’t say his name.. I’ll say his initials… SG.. he told me to text his number, and I did, and he lowballed me on all my stuff, I don’t remember the exact prices but I know he offered less than 200 for each pair.. I have that chat saved
