If you look closely at this one, you’ll see the badge is red and white rather than blue and white.
That’s because this is an EMW 327/2 from 1953. Yes, EMW. The former BMW factory in Eisenach was stranded in East Germany at the end of WWII and continued to build pre-war BMWs as EMWs. The car that started my love of BMW. I was in the home of BMW, Munich, in 1987 and saw a load of E30 M3s being delivered to dealers. And I was hooked from that point and BMWs are all I’ve ever owned since!

2004 SRT4
This car was owned by one guy and garage kept for 17.5 years - he sold it to a guy in Dallas who kept it for only 5 months because about 6 weeks after he got it, he got into a motorcycle accident and couldn't drive it with his bum left leg...
So I picked it up a couple of weeks ago - I'll teach him how to drive it and in a few years when he gets his license, it will be his daily driver
