Endurance of frames

had my green pair about 2 years now. (flack 1.0) never replaced earsocks once and wear then almost day in and day out riding in the summer.

but a new pair of earsocks/temples is less than $20. Does it really matter?

Well, I tried Wingfold EVR and they looked pretty good. If I finally get them I'll also order Trivex lenses because I've read that Polycarbonate ones often give problems when used in rimless frames. Does any of you guys have any experience with rimless type frames?

You have to realise nothing lasts forever and generally lenses die first before any other bits. Unobtanium are rubbers and as such they have a life of a few years just like rubber tyres on a car.

If you're that paranoid about filmsy frames breaking then invest in the most durable metal frame ever built: a classic xmetal frame.
