Quick question - would an optician be able to measure the base curve of a lens?

Still looking for something to cut Canteen lenses from. I don't want to buy any of the aftermarket stuff out there.

for the canteen you can use all the big 8.75 curve lenses or shields.

If split jacket lenses can be cut for the R1, does it also mean that it can act as a donor for the XX?

Which lenses require the least or no cutting for splice? A lot of the lenses that will work for splice appear to be pretty close if not identical. But that's just from looking at internet pictures so I don't really know.


It would be cool if the spread sheet could have some ID codes to help ID the level of cutting required, because a corner trim is a lot easier and less daunting than a full cut out.

the unknown lens is almost a direct swap - abit loose though.

Im re-building the list (so far only 8.75 lenses). will incorporate difference between need to cut, and direct swap ins (or close anyway)

Are you doing it on google docs? I could just invite you to edit the table that's there. Would prob be easier

its just in excel.. the formats quite different so it'd be a fuss transferring data over. anyway its far from complete.. most of what i have is on this googledoc anyway.

can someone with an Eyepatch2 please confirm that the curvature is indeed same as an Xmetal? Or is it less.
