How to Become/Stay a Great Member of O.F.:-
It’s pretty simple really…”So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you” (from the Gospel of Matthew (7:12)). This is otherwise known as the “Golden Rule”.

What this looks like in this particular forum includes…

1. Being honest in your transactions ie not cheating people, posting on time, packing items properly so they aren’t damaged. Scammers will be banned (@Tomcat14)
2. Being gracious towards others and trying not to take offence easily (just block nasty people). If you have a problem with an individual eg during a transaction, try your best to sort it out privately before going “public”
3. Read and follow the rules of this forum (this applies to paying members also. Disclosure - I do not own/profit financially from this forum either, and must also follow the rules)
4. Build this community by encouraging fellow collectors in constructive ways
5. Be helpful - Share information that you know about Oakleys. We are all richer for it
6. Show your Oakleys on your Face on WOAYWT (@TheStig)
7. Check dates of threads before replying (@Hamshandy)
8. Don't take advantage of people with less knowledge than you (@Lopaka KaMars)
9. Don’t ignore the feedback section. If you have a good transaction with someone, show some love. Especially if they took the time to give you feedback. This also helps everyone else in the forum know they are a good seller/buyer @Kingme

If someone scams you, report them to a mod or make a post about it right away, in order to reduce the damage that person does.

Keep certain personal info to yourself. Political leanings. Religious beliefs. Sexual preferences. Bring up any one of these and you're certain to rub someone the wrong way.

Just know that you can't please everyone. I once just suggested to a new guy that making 'friends' would help him get grails at decent prices. He said "Friends? F-U". And then blocked me. Hahaha. I think there are people here that don't like me because I post a lot of memes.
