Introduce Yourself!

I've been a fan of Oakley since I was in the fourth or fifth grade...which was in the mid-90s. I'm a huge fan of those styles (the eye jackets in particular). I currently use Oakley products in and out of the workplace (firefighter). I've heard terrible reviews on the boots however, I have an older model and they are fantastic. I don't expect to get into buying huge vault display cases or even into the new modern styles. I'm not a huge fan of the gascan or square O styles. I miss the crazy military styling that Oakley used to have. Up until the beginning of this year, I have been VERY pleased with Oakley's products. However, I've recently been letdown by some of their non-eyewear products. None the less, I will continue to stay on the Oakley bandwagon, for now. I hope to share my knowledge and love for Oakley with everyone and learn a lot too.

I have a question for a long time fan. I have bought a collection and am looking for some information. I have a pair of Flak Jacket XLJ Minnesota Twins. The box says they are blue frames with black iridium lens. What I have are blue frame with red arms and like a reddish blue iridium lens. The item number on this special edition is 24-070. Can you tell me anything about these sunglasses and if this is a misprint or a mismatch on the lenses.

That's the proper sku so it sounds like a mismatched lense. Could be positive red or aftermarket. The original lense will have the twins emblem etched into it

Hello everyone,

I've been an O enthusiast since I was able to afford my first pair of Flak XLJs for a summer job I had lifeguarding and setting up pins for sailing regattas in high school. That winter I landed a job tuning skis and snowboards, at which point I was able to buy a pair of A-frame goggles with HI lenses from my buddy that I used when my shift was over in the evenings. I was able to use my free season pass to teach myself snowboarding and the HI lenses saved me countless times. In the spring, I got another job working on small engines where I saved up enough money to buy my first car that I was able to fix up and teach myself how to drive proper with three pedals with the help of my Flaks. A few speeding tickets later, I'm currently studying Computer Science after spending two years in the Computer Engineering program at RIT and freshman year I bought a pair of used Mag Fours and quickly fell down the vintage rabbit hole. I've researched the hell out of this company and only have good things to say. I've since purchased O-Matter Fours and pewter/black iridium Madmans which I've daily'd until the hinge broke last week (covered under warranty, stoked for replacement). If anyone has some dark carbon Moons they wouldn't mind parting with, please let me know!

Also I religiously use my HQ-themed bottle opener that came with my Flaks, I hope to land a job in CA and pay the place a visit. I'm convinced my laser-like vision is thanks to these products, and I'm busting my *** to don a Medusa someday.

Welcome. Lots of awesome people here from that side of the pond. You'll have no problem finding an R1 once you meet the exchange requirements
