Thank you, that explains why I had such a hard time finding any info on them. So one more question would these lenses work with this frame thenIt looks like a SI m frame with a ballistic lens clip and lens. Somewhat Frankenstein
It’s considered the “new m frame”
A pair I bought off the bay came the same way, someone must have bought a clip and added it to be able to use different lenses, or maybe for a more secure hold?Sorry to hijack this thread but can anyone help identify what generation of m frames I have? Are they the M frame 2.0? I happened to stumble upon them at a Goodwill for cheap and the clear/grey lenses that were included with the case are in great shape. If anyone needs better pictures just let me know

It is actually not a Frankenstein model, Oakley produced these. That is Gen 1 of the Oakley Ballistic M frames. Issued to troops that went to the Middle East around 05-06 (possible sooner). It literally is just a regular M frame with the retainer clip. The frame design changed with the ballistic 2.0 and 3.0, but they kept the retaining clip.Sorry to hijack this thread but can anyone help identify what generation of m frames I have? Thanks for the info and insight! Everyone I asked thought they were frankensteined lol. Cool piece of history! May we see pics of yours with inner ear stems as well for comparison? It is actually not a Frankenstein model, Oakley produced these. That is Gen 1 of the Oakley Ballistic M frames. I have one in front of me right now. My buddy was in Iraq in 2005 and they were issued.
