Mars leather serial numbers

I even have my original box withe the early production serial number and it has the prefix of
M*00. On the box

Does yours have a matching serial in the left nosebomb mounting post?
Here is mine to show what I mean.
I would also like to see the box number...

It looks like it has been refinished. If you look close, you can see the over-spray on the "1".

Maybe they took the arms from a none Mars and but they on these, and refinished over the serial number.

Exactly what I was gonna say. Looks like a swaparoo. I'd like to see the box as well.

Just checked my Mars Crater - no serial on the nose bomb post so I am assuming this is a feature on the Mars Leather only....
