Difference in Juliet nosebridge from earlier generations?

I’m sure someone on here knows this answer or have also noticed this, but why is it that earlier Juliet nosebridge pins/rivets hardly come through the front hole of the nosebridge?..some barely come through, some seem too short...

Later Generations clearly stuck out on the front..

There probably not pushed in all the way. I think on the Juliet's anyways all the pins were the same
