Will you acquire the new release if it exists?

Cost was almost $100. For a pair of Juliets, there were close to 20 pieces. All the metal parts were cast using a lost wax process wherein the mold is destroyed each time. Then each part had to be cut off the sprue frame by hand, and finished by hand. Then they were all assembled by hand. I don't remember what the actual man-hours count per frame was, but the labor alone would've worked out to at least $25...

That being said, for a non-X-Metal frame, which were stamped instead of cast, a cost of $25 would be in range.

I'm not trying to call you out or anything, and this is truly in the sense of wanting information out on the table;

HOW DO YOU KNOW?!

We can all spout numbers all day on here. Until you provide validation we can't take your information seriously, and it's pretty much misinformation at that point.

To the casual reader that popped on yesterday and didn't see your posts they would see $25 and just take for granted that people here are in the know and that is good information. But you're saying $100. While certainly more realistic, it bears about the same factual weight as the $25 post. And what you've said about the production process isn't any kind of fresh insight that gives you added credibility.

Dont forget to factor in the cost of buying the plant and then closing it down.

I worked for Oakley for over four years, from 2006-2010.
In what capacity?

Once again, not trying to be rude or pushy. But I could tell you I worked for McDonalds, that doesn't mean I know how much the company invests in worker training and what the raw cost of a Big Mac is.

I have a few rants on the forums over the last year or two. Lots of people come on claiming to have heard, or know a guy at HQ who told them such and such. Showing up on the forum and saying things like "All China production is frames only, lenses are still made here" without any kind of "because when I was at HQ Colin Baden told me himself" substantiation to your claims means you could be lying out your ass.

You'll notice threads like this one are rife with that kind of stuff. "They're bringing X-Metals back in 2015". How do you know "A guy at an O Store told me." Sure. Ok. I believe you.

Have to agree with @Rustpot here i've been a member for less than a year and it seams every coupe of weeks someone posts " X-Metal ....... ... Return" and unless your seating in on some big meeting @LUX HQ it's all hear say and means sh*t theres no store employee or sale rep with that knowledge . Just my opinion i may be wrong ?.

I saw some official Oakley paperwork at the O store a couple weeks ago with a new Juliet coming late 2014. It wasn't a catalogue per se but showed some upcoming releases. I would say it is coming but to the extent of what type of release etc. I do not know.
