Reading this whole thread I get the feeling lux just tell oakley employees to tell us mugs that x-metals are coming bk so we maintain an eye on there products. What good marketing. "Also tell them it's all hush hush so when it doesn't happen, we can denie all knowledge. But hopefully while keeping and eye out for these x-metals, they will see something else cheaper to make and buy that for a rediculous price." Probably what was actually said at Miami confrence or wateva. Never mind we can stil hope.
How cynical.........I imagine spot on true but cynical thinking that they only want us for our money?!

Yea funnily enough I just been to an oakley store and they said the same thing bout a new x-metal. But he said it would be manufactured different, something to do with plasma cutting or something like that. Didn't quite follow but again it's all rumours.

Sadly, it is nearly impossible to believe what an employee at a store has to say in regards to products that aren't out. While they do have access to systems that we don't, Lux isn't going to pass information out to its stores too early before a release. If an employee tells me that something is coming out next year, there is virtually no way that it can be accurate.

So i just went to an oakley store and talked to te manager there. Very nice girl who was very knowledgeable when it came to vintige and elite stuff. Anyway she said her boss who owns several oakley stores was told that there will be a return of the juliet in a ferrari edition sometime in the next few years. She said the Juliet would likly be the only one that would come back. Also said reason for discontinuation was in part due to saftey (metal had tendency to expload) and environmental concerns. I know cost to manufacture was a major issues as well but i am just relaying info here. Anyway she was pretty excited. Dont know if there is any truth to that, but she was nice (even knew dr. Chop!) so i give her some credit...
