It's nice how a lightsaber straight through your torso no longer kills you.
Perhaps in the future lightsaber wounds can even heal you or make you stronger than before

Apparently this only kills Qui gon. Even Maul getting cut in half didn’t kill him(supposedly)

Right... still it makes no sense, if the stabbing with a lightsaber does not kill your opponent, why go for that as a finishing move?? as we have seen a lot of in SW!
