Yes, and no. Some of you guys selling them for $10 over retail, yeah step it up I’ve payed $100 over retail for some of mine. But I don’t want to see it become Oakley. The men my age have COMPLETELY ruined the brand and because of that reason I became and M-E boy. That reason specifically. I started my 1st collection with $1200 and built it to $40K which is like $80K today and never spent a dime of earned income. Only what I made from flipping Oakley on eBay and cherry picking what I kept. I also never overpriced my item and tried to give the most fair deal possible. Done the right way with standards and good character I say go for it and make some money on what others were too busy, too broke, or not paying attention to the brand on the release day to get themselves for retail. Its not like these sold out in under a minute and people who were there did not get one. See in those cases I help at cost. I know you were there and you missed... too lazy to be here and missed.... pay my ass
As far as Oakley Shyt.... Lux trashed the brand and gougers trashed what they have not so if I see a dollar in a Oakley flip from a limited release you betcha that shyt is hitting eBay. Don't think for a minute I won't make it worth my while.
These days a brand that is not worth more later than was retail will fail. There is something magnetic about sunglasses to people and its because it is the one item you wear you probably put the most thought into buying to match the person you are or feel you want to be. I had a ex who called my XX's "angry glasses" cause she said I always look so serious in them. But I put on my Radars and Im all of a sudden sporty, switch to a pair of Eye Jackets and I look like I am headed to the beach. Sunglasses are a direct reflection of who we are and that is why not one single person here or on earth has the same collection as another person because our collections are a culmination of who we are as a whole when you look at them in the case. This web sight and collecting as we know it would not exist without the hope that what you spent $100 on today will be worth $200 or $300 later. Why else would we be after all this cool stuff and get our hearts pumping over the artistry and the creations brought to us?
