What's On Your Plate???

This is one of those weeks where, instead of a different protein for each dinner, the proteins I bought were portioned for two meals. Monday was the salmon, Tuesday was prime-grade filet mignon, got one of those killer deals at Sams again...

For the mushrooms and onions, I had some leftover duck au jus from the other week, used it as a reduction...

So Wednesday was salmon again, this time with roasted asparagus. I poached it again; I've said before that's the best way to cook salmon and keep it moist and tender. But instead of a sweet miso glaze like on Monday, this time I brushed it with Ponzu sauce (a citrus soy sauce) and sprinkled on some shichimi (a Japanese 7 spice pepper seasoning)...
