Cracked Carbon X-Metal Repair

Hey all,

Thank you all for your input over the past few days. I was able to work out a return with the seller. Repairing them was turning into more of a headache than it was worth. Good news is I was able to secure a pair of new XS frames in the process, so the Iron Man custom project is back on track. Will supply pictures when complete.

Thanks!

Chris

Well it’s a former career of mine.
So no tin foil hats here. You guys can be paranoid enough for me.

I bought the cracked shades.
So we will see what my hands can do to repair them.
I’ve been wanting a custom pair.
So once I use the parts to repair my old XSs. I will use the leftovers and make something cool.., copper ceracoat maybe. Burnt dark earth may be

That orbital is DOA

I went to file away some of the surface and arc it. First swipe of file the leg cracked completely off. Way to thin to work with.

I’ll send it to you to try.
There was about a Hair line thread of material holding it together.
No more. It’s a complete crack.

I’m taking it’s a loss.
But I got some good parts
I may be able to silver solder the crack.but its going to have to get painted after that.satin black duracoat?

Help! Can anyone tell me if this is repairble?
