Cutting Lenses - What Works

Has anyone attempted any lenses for Frogskins or Holbrooks? Don't even see Frogskins on the spread sheet.
Holbrook is probably big enough. But they're are tons of frog lens options

Would be much easier if we would get more support creating the table.
Also check my other thread asking for help = 0
We can't do the whole table without support from other members.

So please tell us the correct Frogskin model and we will add it to the spreadsheet.
You should also ask other Frokskin fans and hopefully we can add some informations.

I just did another cut last night, came out awesome. My thing is has anyone run into the issue with the hydrophobic coating on the lenses being a hindrance on the tape staying adhered to the lens? I have used, conform, and 2 different blues. There has to be a way to break down the coating barrier. Its only a slight pain in the a$$, but figured I would pitch it out there.....

Yes, I have had the same problem with a pair of Straight Jacket lenses. Tried different kind of tapes but nothing lasts long time. I've ended up cutting the lenses without a tape.
You can use a fiber reinforced tape or aluminum tape what uses a very aggressive glue.
Not tested yet, but I think you can damage the coating.

yuo same issue here. no biggie, just take it slow and dont shift the tape too much. i let the tape follow the lens curvature when taping to maximise contact and less lifting.

I have been experimenting with a couple of different ways, I think the aluminum tape is definitely out!!! There is one other item I am going to try on a test lens. It just might work and change the way I will do them for the future....

@marc2040 yeah that's true I was more just looking for the current model Frogskins, so Gen 3 I believe. I know there is a lot of lens support already from oakley for Frogs but I would like to possibly cut some polarized lenses in different iridium finishes. I also want hi yellow lenses for my frogs.
Overall I think I will buy some lenses to try and leave some feedback.

That is an easy selection for a frog, lots of lenses in that fitment...

too bad on that tape issue, not a problem here...Just sayin:laugh:

Could always buy aftermarket like vl to see if they're big enough. Just return if not and if they are, return and find oem.

Would the Dispatch II lenses possibly work for the X-Squared? I'd love to get a set of Jade lenses for the XS if possible. According to the chart they're compatible for the Dispatch but there wasn't a listing for the Dispatch II.
