Do some price comparisons. Could it be cheaper to get glass where you're at? I'm not sure as I've never bought shelves singularly. Glass is much stiffer of course, and would be the way to go if cheaper or almost the same price as plexiglass.🤙

I’ve been researching prices, not too terribly bad for the amount I need.. just gotta find the time to do more research for cutting places

Update: It has been checked out, nothing wrong with it wire-wise. Nothing chewed or anything of those sorts. 2 possibilities, get the T8 bulb and put it up at the top, lighting up the logo in the front and seeing if that fixes it; or worst case scenario is the Transformer is burnt so we replace that, they’re cheap on amazon.

Still annoying having to put more money into it but it’s better than a wire mess

Something is still awry. The case being electrified indicates a hot positive (+) wire is making contact with the case or the ground(s) are disconnected or improper. You've plugged it back in and confirmed it's still electrified ?

Won’t turn it back on until I get a bulb in or the Transformer replaced, he said it smelled damaged and I thought it was just the smell of the case, but if these things were running lights on all day everyday however long ago, it being bad and needing replaced isn’t impossible

Agreed. But the impromptu security system is strange as hell.

Tell your papa to cut the wires to the ballast and cap them off with a wire nut. That should ELIMINATE the problem, If the ballast is really the cause., the case won't be electrified anymore.
