:lolsign: That is SO true on so many other levels.

Haha, I honestly don't want to spend time arguing about damn lenses - they're sunglasses at the end of the day. I'm just making the point that objectivity is important because both of these are third party no matter which way you slice it. So, objective comparisons must be made and its exceptionally hard to do that when people spend $200+ on a pair of lenses.

I haven't made any comments regarding clarity, etc, about Mariener because we have no way of knowing, but after owning two pairs of Dillons - I know at what angles Dillons look matte and which ones they don't. I also didn't pay $280 for my pairs either though, so I'm able to have more of an objective opinion on them.
+1. This. #perspective

@Marien im thinking we need to get some samples out to those of us in the public viewing sector for some high quality reviews... Anyone know someone that is a YouTuber that would be willing to do a review on them. That way we can get a sense of quality?

Seriously anyone at all that does that soft of video review stuff around?

:whistle:

I'd be more than happy to send a sample or two to a youtuber having her or him take a look at it. If you know anyone who's up for it then I'll get in contact.

@GamerGuySam is the guy, but he doesn't have any comparison dillon lenses. Otherwise I nominate @Litos or @htrap2294 (because they have dillon lenses to compare)

I'm definitely the guy for youtube here... I also live near the guys doing the new Oakley channel based out of Pentagon City. we been meaning to do a collaboration.

appreciate the mention... kinda set my self up there. @cacatman is correct I don't have dillons I can only do comparison between you and standard Oakley and several aftermarkets that I keep around ( line gear , walleva, fuse, ikon, ). If someone wants to loan me a set of Dillons for review id be happy to pay the shipping back and forth. I love to do a segment on this. ( a pair in a frame would be preferable as they are a bit more protected)

Our lenses are called Matte Reflective, because a lens, whether it is PC, CR39 or any other material, it will always be shiny and thus creating a reflection, if you make this matte on its own like privacy glass than it would be hard to see through. For our lenses these reflections are distorted thanks to a variety of AG coatings giving the illusion of a matte look, but there will always be a shiny surface at the top/outside of the lens. It is a balance of how far you want to push it with the matte look without hazing to occur. We currently have gen1 tech in our lenses, but I've already held lenses in my hands that are pushing the boundaries even further. But again, we explicitly called them Matte Reflective to avoid any confusion and to keep things straight with our customers.

Here are some examples of our red lens

Mariener Eyewear on Instagram: “Dutch Judoka @henkgrol chilling for a minute at the beach between training. Ofcourse he's sporting our new Matte Reflective lenses in the…”
@sianneg on Instagram: “When you look extra cool cause you're just #winningasfahk all weekend #sunnies #daytona #swag #raceday #racerlife #racefuel #flattrack…”

This is hilarious. @Marien please let us know when you have some 8.75 BC lenses in that fancy matte red. I wouldn't mind trying out a matte lens just for S&G.

At the moment there are no plans of doing this, at least not this year. I really want to get these lenses pushed to our other frames and even further through our product line-up, but we are relatively small brand so I can't get things done as fast as I hope to. (adding more colors (Gold, Green, Purple etc) and expanding to other frames.
