I tired the Valve on at the O Store the other day and find them rather generic looking. Just nothing about them says Oakley to me.

Harsh group, lot of people on the "Dislike Everything" bandwagon. These are much better than Garage Rock, Two Face, Style Switch, etc. Hell, the Unobtanium on the arms and the wraparound coverage is more Oakley than the beloved Holbrook. They have strong design lineage to Gascans, Fives, and Straight Jackets, among others.

These are a decent looking pair that can fit in the Active line (something that hasn't happened in a long time) and could be a sign of good things to come in 2014.

I've seen them in person and they are not terrible. The pictures don't do a justice. Reserve judgement till you have them in your hand.

That's not quite what I'm shooting for. "These are all awful. Do you have anything not terrible? "We have these new Valves. They're not as awesome as the original, but they're not terrible either".
"Well, not terrible is a step up from these Big Tacos, let me see them."

I do not think there is an item that is ugly in the picture but beautiful in person. If there is, name a few.

After 2007, designs are just either love it or hate it.
